No Concept of Nick Names Of Muslim Names

Islam is the religion which teaches us love and affection among the people and it keeps the fact intact that there is no as such hatred spread in any way. It is said in Quran Kareem

“O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames”.
There have been many references in our community where people have been changing Islamic names in the name of fun and comparison which results in the wrong Pronunciation of the name and is highly condemned. Most Muslim baby names are based on the Muslim leaders and Prophets in the past who are very respectful personalities. But when their names are changed in the name of fun, it is one matter of sin and great disrespect.

Also calling out incomplete names, as parent tends to do so. They generally pick Popular Muslim baby names which may be a little difficult to pronounce and then they find out nicknames for their own ease is also not accepted. Parents shouldn’t find difficult names In the first place and if they do so, they should abide by them, because keeping nicknames will definitely cause the change of meaning of the names and this will have negative effects on the human nature.

Most of the times parents also keeps Allah’s names as the modern Muslim baby names without attaching them with Abdul as a matter of respect, and keep calling by the name only, this also is not accurate. Hence Parents should keep that in mind and forbade by disobedience.
